The Police Service and private security sector are increasingly working together to use the schemes to extend the ‘police family’ and keep communities safe.
PCPI has assessed more than 120 private sector companies seeking to run the schemes. The schemes aim to reduce low level crime and disorder whilst assisting police by easing demands on their time and resources to concentrate on their crime fighting priorities.
